Australian Paper manufactures paper in three states in Australia: Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania. We produce and market over 980+ grades of paper that are used every day in Australian homes and businesses.

Our products include coated papers, coloured papers, security papers, watermark papers, packaging papers, copy papers, offset printing papers, bag papers and recycled paper in both sheet and roll forms

Maryvale Mill
Maryvale Mill is located in the Gippsland region of Victoria. This is the largest of Australian PaperŐs operations, running five paper machines, three pulp mills and a waste paper processing plant.

The Maryvale Mill produces a range of brown packaging papers, white and brown bag papers, white and tinted copy paper, envelope papers, security papers and white offset printing papers. Some of these papers have a recycled fibre content. Key products manufactured at Maryvale Mill include Reflex, Postspeed,Sack and Bag Kraft, Correx Liner and Semi-extensible Sack Kraft.

In August 2005, Australian Paper committed $258m to expand the Maryvale Mill to install a new elemental chlorine-free bleaching plant and upgrade the kraft pulping operations. Expected to be completed in 2008, this project will cut emmissions of sulphur oxide by 80% and ensure that the operation maximises its plantation imputs.

 

 

Tasmanian Mills
Our Tasmanian Mills are located on the northern coast of Tasmania at Burnie and Wesley Vale.

The Burnie site operates two paper machines while the Wesley Vale site operates one paper machine, which includes an on-line coating operation, as well as a single and double coating machine. The Mills are supported by two on-site mechanical pulp mills.

Burnie Mill produces a range of copy and offset printing papers as well as coating base for the Wesley Vale Mill operations. Wesley Vale Mill produces a range of single and double-coated magazine and catalogue papers, single and double-coated art papers, label papers and book papers. Key products include Reflex Laser, Glopaque Laser, Impress, Centrefold and Acclaim

Shoalhaven Mill
Shoalhaven Mill is located on the banks of the Shoalhaven River in southern New South Wales. The Mill operates two paper machines and is capable of making watermark paper grades.

The Mill manufactures over 600 products including specialty papers, security papers, watermark papers, coloured papers, envelope papers, copy and printing papers. Key products include Postspeed, Securaspeed, Saxton, Tablex and Optix.
